Item Description

Lyle’s Golden Syrup is a thick, amber-colored form of inverted sugar syrup, made in the process of refining sugar cane juice into sugar, or by treatment of a sugar solution with acid. It is used in a variety of baking recipes and desserts. It has an appearance similar to honey, and is often used as a substitute for people who do not eat honey. It can also be used as a substitute for corn syrup.

Syrup tastes just as good as when I was a kid, but vendors price was way out of line.

First used this product in england and still love the taste over any maple syrup for pancakes, french toast or waffles. Hard to find – glad you carry it. It’s wonderful. Always received it quickly and in fine condition – no dented tins.

I would have liked, first, if this product could be bought in Mexico City. If so, the distributor, the cost. If not possible to buy it in this City, the alternatives to do so. How can it be used, if recipes come with it because this golden syrup is like no other. It has a really peculiar taste that makes it the best of all syrups.

I love it – best on toast with butter, but almost as good drizzled into porridge. Have also bought “The Lyle’s Golden Syrup Cookbook” and experimented with using it to make kebabs and smoothies which were great. Has anyone tried the Maple Flavoured Syrup? Not ‘true’ Maple syrup but my boyfriend actually prefers the Lyle’s version! Can’t find it to buy in the US though.

At long last found a recipe long ago published with my favorite baker’s recipe for Anzac cookies. This was called for and although I could only find it online, made a very nice difference as a sweetener. The cookie was everything that I had remembered. Also tried this along with a little maple syrup on waffles… it was great!
